Job Description
Keyrus Life Science is looking for a Statistical Programmer who will join our team on client's site to provide statistical programming and analysis of observational studies.
You will identify the variables and the records to extract from the available large healthcare databases (e.g. electronic medical records, health insurance claims) and develop/test the algorithms to extract study population, exposure, outcomes and covariates of interest. You will write and review the data extraction methodology and statistical analysis section of the study protocol in collaboration with the biostatistician working on the project.
You will develop and programs analysis in SAS and by consequence, perform a statistical analysis by ensuring a Quality Control check. As a Statistical Programmer, you ensure that documentation is appropriate, with regards to the data collection.
Profile
- University level in Bio-medical sciences with complementary degree in biostatistics and/or epidemiology or equivalent.
- Ideally 1-3 years of experience in Statistics in Epidemiology / clinical research in academia, services provider or pharmaceutical company or equivalent (Experience in a pharmaceutical company or in vaccine research is an asset) ;
- Good practical knowledge in biostatistics applied to clinical/epidemiological research ;
- Experience of extracting and manipulating complex data sets and of preparing supporting documentation for quality control (QC) is needed.
- You have SAS programming skills : SAS base, SAS Macros, SQL, SAS Procedures and skills in analyses programming languages (R, Stata, S plus)
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English. French is an asset.
You have the sense of the urgency and are achievement-oriented. You are a good team player and can work with a minimum of supervision. You have excellent organizational and planning skills with an analytical mindset. Last but not least, you are flexible and can bring innovation in your day to day work !
